Cards news: Morris called up, will start key game
With Dan Haren suspended after hitting the Brewers' Prince Fielder in his last start, Matt Morris has been called up from AAA Chandler to make a start in a game the the Cardinals need to win to keep their slim chances of making the postseason alive.
After struggling in the majors, Morris has found himself in AAA and helped the Centaurs make a run into the postseason. (He is skipping a postseason start due to his jump back to the big club), His record in AAA is 5-3 with an ERA of 2.20. |
