they don't do the trades... updates to ratings and such. adjustments, corrections for this or that.

after aug 1, the do typically releast a august 1 world template with the trades affecting opening day rosters. *like a time machine and it goes through a trading frenzy again in july, ... but if that's what the peanut gallery wants, they get it

To your second point - "The Show" is not a sim and in "other sims" it doesn't "work the same." Most appear to be more reasonable than OOTP, as seen here:

Is there a way to edit the updated roster? I knew prior to the update that some players in the 2017 draft their ratings seemed off compared to the RL rankings. I was expecting this update to correct some of these concerns. However, going through the update I see that just in the top ten picks the ratings don't quite match. Side note my Team Scout has a Legendary rating for Scout Amateurs so I assume he would be the one with the better handle on potential. See below for findings.

#1 pick Royce Lewis has 3 star TS and 5 star OSA
#2 Hunter Greene has 5star TS and 4.5 star OSA
#3 pick Mackenzie Gore has .5 star TS and 2star OSA scout.
#4 Brendan McKay has 3 star TS and 4.5 OSA
#5 Kyle Wright has .5 star TS and 5 OSA
#6 Austin Beck has 5 star TS and 4.5 OSA
#7 Pavin Smith has 3.5 star TS and 4.5 OSA
#8 Adam Haseley 4.5 TS and 4 OSA
#9 Keston Hiura 5 TS and 5 OSA
#10 Jordon Adell .5 star TS and 1.5 OSA

The ratings/rankings will never match if you're using scouting. Scouting randomizes all of that to a large extent, no matter how accurate the scout.

If you turn scouting off or look at the ratings in the editor you'll see that the ratings and rankings match up very well to real life. They're not 100% exact because some of where players are picked depends on things like signability and team's budgets more than just talent, but they're as close as it's possible to get them.

Judge and Bellinger should have slightly higher ratings in this update. They should have even higher ratings in the patch when it comes out.

Not sure Zimmerman needs an upgrade, I'm on the fence on that. Maybe. Thing is, he's a known quantity at this point, he's just having a year that's on the high level of what he's capable of.

I'm not sure there's he's actually any better or different than the guy who hadn't put up an ops over .800 in the past three years. He's just had a hot couple months so far.

i can't wait for the league to adjust to judge and see him dip a bit.. he's a bonafide raker, but i don't think he can hit for that kind of average consistently and strike out 200/year.

They don't need to adjust - he'll simply fall back due to natural luck. I don't think anyone has a true talent .424 BABIP or over 40% HR/FB rate.

Is there a way for user to edit the draft classes and current mlb players as a database? So they can be used in multiple games?
