Such a shame that Beard got drafted by Chicago rather than Pittsburgh.

And Hunt just seems like he should be playing semi-pro ball somewhere in Canada...

And the new all-time hit leader?.... Mo Hitt, of course.

It's only 1890 in my universe, so that record isn't going to stand. But, I'll enjoy it for now....

Wait a minute . I thought Charlie Brown was the pitcher and *Schroeder* was the catcher...

Makes me wish I had some "Peanuts" facegens.

We can see things aren't going well for Boston's starter - down 10 - 0 after 5.

So the Boston manager pulls a tantrum? Sending a message? (this is the expanded roster season so perhaps the game is just getting in time on the mound for these guys. But, 3 pitches then... NEXT!!

What did you expect to happen when you put a team in Vegas?

Billy Wombles is a magnificent name for a ballplayer.

I've never seen that storyline, I wonder if it is Las Vegas specific?

I don't think we have any tokens to make stories city specific, so I doubt it! Just a very fortuitous coincidence

Finally saw my first ever "real" no-hitter in a game in any OOTP, and and it was just in Game 1 of the World Series. Ironically, this pitcher that threw it, I acquired from the very team that he just no-hit.

A 16 K performance in what is surely one of the best pitching performances ever, sets the record for most K's in a playoff game, and oh yeah, he struck out the side in the 9th inning

I thought this was going to be a Carl Everett reference at first and I was like "how did that get put into the storylines XML!?".

I simmed my historical league from 1901 through 1968 to take over the Seattle Pilots and eventually my Milwaukee Brewers ...

... hopefully I'll be healthy enough to make it to my 130s
