is it possible to break the barrier earlier but allow a restriction of say 1 per MLB team? I want to break the barrier way earlier with major restrictions than grandfather it larger and larger, then finally abolish it entirely over the course of a couple decades.

are we able to allow white players in the negro leagues?

That's an excellent question.

there does not seem to be any huge influx of negro/cuban players in the early years.

It's my turn for a stupid question. Where exactly ARE the color line options. I tried a 1930 historical league, looked in every nook and cranny and found nothing.

Under Game Settings on the Rules tab towards the bottom of the Roster Rules section there is a Color Barrier checkbox which can be enabled/disabled.

Found it odd that when running a fictional historical league alongside MLB that you can't turn the bar on. To be fair I wanted to have it off anyway so it's not a big drama for me but could hurt realism for others.

With MLB looking over their shoulder, they may have decided not to stir up trouble.

That is quite possibly true, better news story people being able to turn it off than the other way around!

Well I'll just pretend my 1902 start league are good guys who'd have had it turned off one way or the other
