"Overpaid veterans" line

I'm trying to shop a RF in his prime who's paid in the 12 mil range, and I'm offering to swap him for similar talent, age, and salary. And all the GMs come back with "I'm not going to accept trades with overpaid veterans" again and again.

Really? I'm looking to do a old-school blockbuster trade where one of my stars is swapped for one of their stars and no one will budge. Does the game see things I don't see about this guy, as in--are their hidden ratings or information that the opposing GMs are acting on?

Well, the teams evaluate the trade on both talent & financial level. Maybe the player is indeed overpaid, at least that's what the AI sees.
