"Finish today" when game in progress

It looks like doing "Finish today" just plays out the rest of the game with no substitutions. It seems like the AI manager should take over a game in progress if you choose to finish the day. It's the only way I could figure out how to get past an injury to my DH. Unfortunately my starting pitcher threw 166 pitches and I lost a game that I was winning by 6 runs in the 8th

The "Injury to DH" is already listed as a bug and will be fixed with the first update. Then you can finish games (or resume and finish them later) without problems.

I realize that, but I'm just thinking in case there are any other such bugs, it would be nice to have a safe failure mode. If a player for any reason wants to finish a day while a game is in progress, the AI should take over all manager decisions. It won't be in time to help with this bug, but it could help with others in the future. It seems more robust.
