You're still using dates of 20XX at times when you likely want to use dates of 19XX in this thread, it seems. Just thought you should know that, NovaNation. CD out.

Depends on the league - I think I have MLB set to 10 rounds, and international leagues typically go about 4-5 rounds depending on how many teams are in each league. Might be something I toy with going forward though.
I'm also thinking about instituting drafts at the lower level leagues in the US system as I've noticed a trend where relegated teams continually struggle in lower levels. I think Fresno has been relegated every season of their existence. I allow contract opt-outs for relegations and that's not something I want to remove - for example, Elmira was in danger of relegation for much of the season before they eventually pulled it together and escaped, so I would want Stan Musial to have the ability to opt out rather than get stuck at a lower level. But with no drafts in the lower levels, there's no way for teams to consistently acquire pre-arb/arbitration guys who don't have that opt out so my theory is the rosters empty every time. Need to look more into it though. No, that's not something I ever had the time to do. Putting logos together and doing photoshops to change things like FC to BC or putting a baseball over a soccer graphic was enough work as is haha. |

World Champions League Preview
Format
Also, as has been done in years past, the World Baseball Federation will award cash prizes to participating teams based on how far they advance. The World Series Champion receives a $50,000 prize, the runner earns $30,000, the two remaining semifinalists earn $25,000, the four remaining quarterfinalists take home $10,000, and all other WCL participants win $5,000. (This is done to try to counteract the fact that OOTP tournaments do not have financials so there's ticket prizes and no recognition of prestige for teams advancing.)
