Generate Depth Chart Bug

Whenever I go to generate a depth chart from a lineup, players get randomly moved out of position or taken out of the lineup. This was an issue in 16 as well and appears to have gotten worse in 17. Is this bug really that difficult to fix? Seems like it should be an easy one to remedy. The auto-sync lineups and depth charts still don't work either, same as 16.

I'm sorry, I'm not aware of problems with the functionality. What exactly is the problem that you are running into with the generate depth or the auto-sync?

If I make a new lineup and put starters into a depth chart but don't want to fill out the rest of it I use the generate depth chart option. But for some reason the last guy I put in as a starter in the depth chart will be put as a backup and either no one will replace him or someone from another starter position will.

I just bought this yesterday and was disappointed to see the depth chart still very buggy like it was in 16, and I don't remember having issues with it in 15.

The generate depth chart will replace the depth chart based on who you have specified in your lineup. It will not pay attention to anyone you have specified in your depth chart, other than the guys listed in your lineup.

The issue with that is sometimes when I put a guy into the depth chart with the lineup sync on, it puts the guy in there without a position. Then when I click to change his position, it makes someone else have no position. That is the bug left over from 16 that is irritating me the most.

So if I just try to generate a depth chart after putting a new guy in as a starter, the guy wont have a position and then it will do the thing where it puts another random guy at his position. This is not a game breaking bug but is still annoying. I hope I am explaining it well.
