New York Sweeps into First in OL S294
The Patriots swept their only three Our League games to move in front, but the chase for the crown is heating up.

My 1970’s team will be OL compliant for next season. I am currently in Iron league 184 with a 27-28 record. I could fill out the holes in the roster today but some of the AH prices are ridiculous so I am going to monitor it and slowly build as the week moves on and will be ready to begin play on Monday.

Nice to see that both Arkham and New Zealand are having good starts. Based on the last few seasons, I assume they will easily reach the postseason and then get hammered like a batting practice fastball.
Sigh.

Since you guys are being all negative I'll tell you a positive story!
I did my Challenge mode packs today but only had time to open one before work - for my Texas team. This team can only have cards from Texas Rangers and the last Washington Senators team (WS2 is the search term for them in the AH). It turns out the pack not only had a historical card, but the card was one I could actually use - the last Washington Senator I needed (Don Lock). So how's that for serendipity! It actually had two other historical cards that were decent (John Roseboro and the 69 OVR Bill Madlock). I can't use those so they're on the AH. But I think you'll agree it's pretty crazy for a pack to have 3 historical cards in it. |

Madlock is a great bronze card even though he completely sucks at defense. That is awesome whenever you open a pack, and you pull something you can use. They need to increase the pull rate of historic cards and add more historic cards to the game.

This. I for one have seen enough live trash to last a lifetime. Jen-Ho Tseng & Connor Joe will be forever burnt into my mind...but a nice historical diamond+ would change that.

Madlock is a great card for a PP farming team. I had him on one of my team and dude's racked in 1040 PP in a week and a half. He's currently hitting .373/.417/.571 for me.

Gold league final standings for OL (yeah, it's mid-June and the OL interleague schedule is already done )
CliffMarkle: 5-1 0.833 pct Cooper: 1-5 0.167 pct Waffletown: did not play Overall look at the Gold league: Despite the 1-5 OL record, Cooper is actually doing the best of the three teams overall in the league with a 36-34 record, good enough for 3rd place in the NC Central and 4.5 games back of the division lead. CliffMarkle and Waffletown have identical 34-36 records, but there's a world of difference in their standings. CliffMarkle finds themselves in 3rd place in the NC West, 11.5 games back of the lead; while in the AC East division, the teams are playing reverse volunteer to see who can back away from the division lead the quickest; as Waffletown's 2-games-under-500 record puts them in a 3-way tie for first place I can see it now.... win the division with a sub-500 record.... get lucky and win 3 games in the LDS and earn promotion to the Diamond league where we'll be mercilessly stomped |
