Higher or Lower number on CS percentages?

I've asked this before, but, I always forget this answer. Sorry.

My CS percentages in my 80s league are high. My CS percentage in the game is set at .941. If I want higher CS percentages, I would lower that right? If I want more successful CS rates, I should make it higher, correct?

I have no idea why I can remember this, but this time, I will write a little sticky so that I have the answer.

Thx.

as long as you don't change other things or change it too drastically, you can expect it to work as you explained.

reduce it and lower SB-success. increase it and increase SB-success.

the other modifier will increase how often they steal -- think of this more like aggressiveness... you can also increase # of SB by increasing singles or reducing 3b/hr (2b too? - if average stays the same and there are more attempts from 1b than 2b, then it would help, but not as much as 1 less 3b or hr or simply adding to hits)

now, about the 'if you don't move it too drastically'... or, if you move more than one dial at a time that impacts SB... you could find that increasing it has brought it magically down to the lower rung, then slowly work back up from there, rinse and repeat if you keep doing it. so, if you nudge it upward slowly, and it crazily drops one year, you likely found that threshold. you can try to see if rasing it gets it a bit higher, but you likely found the upper possibility given all other relevant factors.

also, moving the attempts mod can have drastic impacts on %-success. it's best to move the attempts to a # you want, then hone the %-success. the other way around requires a second callibration of %-success in most cases.

volatility of SB-attempts is whacky crazy compared to other stats, fyi.
