Minor leaguers photo doctored

While getting some images prepped for custom cards, I had several minor league shots fixed that have not been repaired to any extent I've seen.

Name: 62 Bruce Fitzpatrick NYM 1B.jpg
Views: 830
Size: 282.3 KB
Bruce Fitzpatrick (Mets) was only released by the Vault in 2017, and has shown up several times badly yellowed. Here he is in all his restored glory.

Name: 69 Larry Staab LAD P.jpg
Views: 865
Size: 270.8 KB
Larry Staab (Dodgers) has been otherwise released, but I like this shot even though it was the worst deterioration of any here. Nicely restored.

Name: 64 Robert Guzek CWS P.jpg
Views: 785
Size: 278.1 KB
Robert Guzek (White Sox) has only appeared once, badly yellowed, which was why I had it done. Began his pro career in 1963 with an 8-0 record, but went to Kansas City about five minutes after this picture was taken.

Name: 71 Lloyd Gladden KCA P.jpg
Views: 800
Size: 156.2 KB
Lloyd Gladden (Royals) has been Vault released with the Brewers, with whom he should have reached the majors (but didn't inexplicably). But he was drafted by the Royals. This image was badly overexposed and I did not think it could be salvaged. Wrong again.

Name: 66 Bill Parlier_LAD OF_2.jpg
Views: 917
Size: 181.6 KB
Bill Parlier (Dodgers) was a bonus baby signed in 1963 and, while the rule no longer required his going directly to the majors, he was in the big league camp and given the coveted number worn most recently by Duke Snider. (It was formally retired in the late 70s).

Robert Stafford (19th Century)

Looking for ANYTHING of Robert Stafford of the old Western League Milwaukee Brewers, 1896-1899. Long shot; I know.

The attached is from the book THE MINOR LEAGUE MILWAUKEE BREWERS 1859-1952, by Brian A. Podoll. In turn, Podoll credits the image to the Milwaukee Sentinel of April 27, 1899, where it is shown as part of a composite representing the opening day lineup of the Milwaukee team. Stafford was a first baseman in that lineup.

This image is from the same MINOR LEAGUE MILWAUKEE BREWERS book by Brian Podoll as cited above. Podoll got it from the Milwaukee Sentinel of April 16, 1899. Although Lewee's final year with the Brewers was 1888 according to Baseball-Reference.com, and the name is misspelled in the caption to this image, there is no one else on the 1899 Brewers who this could be. Besides, the shortstop position fits. It's certainly possible that Lewee was with the Brewers during spring training of 1899 before moving on to other teams.

Jeff Kenaga

The Tigers took local product Jeff Kenaga in the 15ht round out of Western Michigan University. Kenaga had played his high school ball in Detroit at Lutheran West and was previously drafted by the Brewers out of HS in the 17th round

Kenaga played from 1979 thru 1983 in the Tigers system reaching AAA in 1981 and playing for the AAA in 1982 and 1983. His best season as a Tigers minor leaguer was his 1981 season hitting .295 with 16 HR and 67 RBI (mostly in AA ball)

He played for the Orioles organization in 1984 and 1985 finishing his career with a .272 AVG and 79 HR in 748 G

The attached photo is from the Bellingham (WA) Herald of Sept. 6, 1967. It shows Hannah in the uniform of the Alaska Goldpanners team. He had been in Alaska playing summer ball while attending Washington State University. He signed with the Royals out of WSU in June of 1968. Hannah was primarily a catcher.

Are there any known photos of Michael Ralph Swain? He went to Ohio State University. I believe he is from Zainesville Ohio. Baseball-Reference have two listings for him. 1. Michael Swain drafted by the Expos 2. Ralph Swain for the Pilots. I believe that these two listing are for the same person.

Mr. Swain, as you may have already discovered, appears in the 1969 Clinton Pilots team photo you previously posted here. Back row, fifth from the left.
