Will the International Signee cap be optional following this patch? I can see people playing a league based on pre-current CBA rules wanting to be able to do that.

You should be able to just set the cap to some insane amount in league setup and effectively have no cap I would think.

The demands on the signees have been reported to scale in proportion to the cap. So, if you set the cap to 1 billion dollars, the prospects start demanding 900 million dollar contracts.

Markus, I know you all have worked tremendously hard. Thank you for your tedious work. If you or someone on your team could look into this I'd appreciate it. It's now happened twice and I'm hesitating to play again as I don't want to get invested into a league and have it happen. Thanks.

Start MLB Quickstart. Get around 15 games in with 0 problems. Applied patch (though I believe that's irrelevant since the same thing happened pre-patch). After saving game, go back to continue and my entire roster (Mets) is filled with fictional players.

However, if you search for a player in the "search" function, they appear on their team. If you click on them, it links to a different, fictitious player.

Again, this is the second time this has happened to me. In one week.

In looking at the whole league, now, it seems it's happened league-wide. I, of course, didn't do anything to the options to prompt this.

I'm not sure what other information you all need. I'm using a PC, not Mac.

This sucks. I had used a fun Twitter account to post updates and game recaps. Have to start all over now.

Yeah, I'm facing Boston and have to play Games 6 and 7 in Boston when I should be home.

Series is tied 3-3 though, sure would like some home cooking for Game 7!

This was reported in the Bug Thread? Can you provide a link, please?

Bigrod said he was going to enter it in the bug database for Markus to look at.

He probably did then, I'm just double checking. Thanks.

Yes, he's entered it. I upped the priority. Hopefully we can get it reviewed for the next patch.

Hey, noticed reading through the earlier threads you actually were looking for me. You have to yell louder!

that...sucks. I was just tossing an idea off the top of my head, since I have mine at default. Yeah, I can understand wanting an option to get rid of it, OR the option to have it not scale if actually turning it off messes up other things.

I have just tested by changing the cap to $1bil and the player demands do scale with the cap. I changed the cap back to $3mil on July 1 and the players demands changed without doing anything else so they appear to be directly calculated as a percentage of the cap. This really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Why have the ability to adjust the cap if the players demands just scale with the adjustment? I would think the players demands would be somehow related to the league salary structure.

One other test. I set the International Amateur FA cap to $0. None of the players now were demanding a bonus. Then I simmed ahead a week and all but one player has signed a minor league deal with a $0 bonus.

Plus when I set it to $0 the rules that appear on the page above the list of players changed and only showed the first two lines. The penalties and restrictions went away.

So does setting it to $0 disabled the International Amateur FA cap and the rules regarding it? Sort of like setting the development budget to $0?

EDIT: Sorry this stuff probably doesn't belong in this thread. The was a post in 'Suggestions for OOTP15' about being able to turn off the cap and I have put this information there.

nah, that's good stuff Byzeil. Exactly what I was going to test when I got a chance today.

So, I'm curious what the determining factor is on those players with the budget at 0. Is it just whoever gets a deal in first?

Well you can still offer a bonus on the minor league contract. The deciding factors, I'm guessing, are the same that determines where any player offered identical contracts signs, either major or minor league. What are those factors? Not 100% sure. I guess winning can be a factor or opportunity in the system. Don't know for sure.

This is what I love about Marcus... yes, software releases are never perfect, but he listens to the towns people and gets on it.

Give the Game a command to do like say put all Drafted by the Mets on the Mets or all not Drafted on the Free-Agent Market.
