Assuming that OOTP uses the same locations from Retrosheet, this link will prove very helpful.

Tangential, but I need to verbalize it. Another thread- oldtimeys, I think -alludes to the need for pbp to address positioning, and as GM, I almost exclusively watch the games. However, in instances like we're discussing here, there's no way to tell what the infield or outfield is doing without a pbp reference. I'd like, when just watching games, to have at least the position box visible (I don't have to be able to change it) so it gives me just one more element to consider when I see a play unfold.

Edit All the more reason to have an event tracker as The Wolf mentioned in another thread.

EDIT: So far I've found a list of rare plays from RL (A surprising number (3 so far) of U9 double plays...) Last edited by Cryomaniac; 07-21-2012 at 03:18 PM. |

Two of the biggest "missing plays" in OOTP are:
1. Runners on first and third, double steal. 2. Squeeze plays called by the AI. Everything else would be considered rare, I believe. At least I can't think of any others at the moment; I did a list of them myself at one time. |
