How about the in-game sounds?

Anyone else NOT like the in-game crowd? I feel each bit is too specific and unique, thus sounding VERY repetitive too quickly.

I feel as though there should be more generic "cheers" and "boos" so that they aren't so easily noticeable. As it stands now, I either turn it off or cringe when I know the repeated lines that are about to be heard.

Is there an alternate collection? If not, let's use this thread to collect some!?!

I agree with the sounds being repetitive, not enough variation, and I have a way to solve it. I've presented my thoughts to Markus. We'll be having discussions on this shortly so he said. If it's easy enough for him to implement it, he may possibly do it. We'll be able to have different sounds for different ballparks, etc. A couple of us already have various sounds that can be used. If it gets implemented, we'll have many more.

Always liked APBA sound track--the Peanuts,Cracker Jack,Stuff (Beer)
The vendors in the background,really bring me back to the "Good Old Days"
I know all the sounds are available on the Net--just haven't the skills to implement them.Hope you guys bring back the nostalgia,of going to the games.

Agree with this one...I think it was in Puresim baseball too (back when I played both before I switched to OOTP exclusively). Vendors and organ music would be awesome.

Personally I'd like more modern music replacing the guitar riffs/Stroke It like Calvin Harris and Afrojack, but I'm sure there's some copyright issues there. Is there a way to edit those in ourselves? I have Flash so can edit sound files.

hmm think it's just sounds: intro 1-3 need to be replaced by your own .wav file so will try it.

Yes, all of the sounds can be edited or replaced, just make sure the filename is the same as the original.

Also if you would like more variety you can create additional sound files and name them progressively. intro1, intro2, intro3, intro4, intro5...etc.

This is already possible. Just give the file the name of your player (Joe Smith.wav) and it will play that sound when he comes to bat. When I have done this in the past I have found that the sound usually doesn't play until after the 1st pitch to the batter so a lot of the time the walk-up music is going while there is a description of a ball in play.

I would love to see some more edited sound files, Dream Teams and edm created some for OOTP 9 and 10, and I still use those today because I detest that stupid Stroke song, I cringe every time I hear it in game.
