How to Turn Off Real Time Sim

How in the world do I turn off the real time simulation so I can simulate the season from beginning to the start of the playoffs? I've looked in the settings when I set up the historical league but I just can't find it.

If you mean you want the game to simulate everything in the background up until the playoffs begin, all you need to do is this:

Click Play Menu > ... Specified Date > Enter the date of the last regular-season game or one day after.

Or...Even easier... Click Play Menu > Look at the Auto Play to Event section and there will be a choice there "Playoffs Begin". There ya go.

That's exactly what I want to do, but all of those options are greyed out for me.

Are you playing in Challenge Mode? If so, you can't skip ahead in Challenge Mode. I'll have to see if there is any other reason why they'd be greyed out. Right now, I don't know of any.
