Free Agent "not interested in further discussion"

Hi - I offered a contract to one of my free agents players. He rejected my several offers and now refuses to even discuss a contract. This was during the offseason. We are now half-way through the next season and still nothing. What to do?

When was the last time he rejected a contract, and what team/league are you playing in? That's sounds longer than the normal period that he should refuse to talk, unless there's something else preventing him from wanting to play for the team (specifically disliking the team, not wanting to play in the league, etc.)

Hi - The player is Keith Tkachuk. He was drafted a few years ago. He's on my NHL team. I have tried to re-offer him a contract a few times (maybe every cpl of months) and he always says he's not interested in further negotiations. Not sure what to do. It's been nearly a year since he initially rejected the offer.

Strange that he's waiting that long when it's an NHL team. Could you upload the save (instructions here) and we'll take a look at it?
