July 31st 1892 Update

What a month for the American League. Leader Baltimore experienced a melt down in June and July to fall to 4th place, 2.5 games behind St Louis and
Washington. The Browns are in the midst of an 8-2 run. Meanwhile the Washington Senators were lead by Mike Tiernan, Tiernan has hit 8 HRs in July
and is the AL Leader with 19. Teammate Cy Young leads with his 21 wins. Over in the National League, nothing much has changed but the Colts' lead
over Boston at 9 games. Bill Sweeney (20-8, 2.89 era) and John Ewing (17-6, 3.99 era) are helping Chicago.

September 5th 1892 Update

The Chicago Colts continue to lead Boston over in the National League. Their lead has shrunk to 7.5 games. Chicago is trying to do the feat of repeating as champs on pitching alone.
Bill Sweeney (25-13, 3.05 era) and John Ewing (23-11, 4.17 era) are pulling the weight. Over in the American League the race is heating with Baltimore sitting at the top with a two game lead
over Washington and Boston. The Senators' are batting very well with Mike Tiernan leading with his .366 average and 23 HRs. And Cy Young winning his 31st game. Hardie Henderson
is top pitcher with Baltimore with his 22-12 record.

We are in the final 10 games of the season. The National League Champs has already been decided, the Chicago Colts
have clinched that title. The Washington senators are hoping to hold on the win the American League crown.

May 8th 1893 Update

American League News: The Baltimore Orioles are running at the top, but the Senators are trying to keep up. Baltimore is without star Hardie Henderson, he is out for the season with
elbow surgery. Ed Crane (4-1, 4.50 era ) and Cy Young (3-1, 3.80 era) are in control for Washington. Also George Davis is hitting a blistering .487.

National League News: Pittsburgh has the early lead over the Cardinals. Last year's champs the Colts are stumbling around in 4th place at .500. Billy Schindle is batting .408 and
Frank Meinke is 4-1, 1.02 era for the Pirates. But not to be undone, Charlie Ferguson for the Cardinals is 4-1 also.

July 27th 1893

We have ourselves a good old fashioned batting race going on with the three top batters all hitting above .400. Sam Thompson (Baltimore) Ed Delahanty (Washington) and Hugh Duffy (Baltimore) are those hitters.

August 23rd 1893 Update

The Washington Senators are turning up the heat in the second half of the season. Senators have gained 3 games in the standings, thanks to the hitting of Ed Delahanty.
Ed started slow in August and then turned up the heat to sizzling. Ed Crane has also contributed, he is 8-1 so far in August. What support would not be without is the
services of rookie Frank Bonner. Frank is hitting .314, with 9 HRs and 66 RBIs.

The race for .400 is still going on with the top three, Ed Delahanty,
Sam Thompson, and Hugh Duffy . Who will be if any, be the next .400 hitter

1894 Season
Showcasing the two best teams from last season

American League
Baltimore is hoping to repeat this season and avenge their loss
to New York. Orioles are stocked with talent.

Washington Senators need to overcome the retirements of their
two stars, Hardie Richardson and Jim O'Rourke. Ed Delahanty's
brother Tom, joins the team. Will Cy Young or Ed Crane be the
first to win 40 games this season.

National League
New York
The Giants are relying on their aces, Will Sawyer and James Burke

The Pirates are full of hope that Roger Connor can turn around his
mediocre 1893 Season.

Which two teams will be heading for the 1894 World Series? Stay tuned to find out.

May 18th 1894 Update
So far two close races in both Leagues. Columbus is masterful on the road with a 10-4 record. The other teams are duking it out back and forth. The Senators look to be crawling
out of a slow start. Washington will be with out SP John Kirby, he out for 3 months with a strained hamstring injury.

Batting Stats
American League
A lot of the top hitters so far this season are in top form.

National League
Likewise from the American League, this season's top batter are performing better than last.

Pitching Stats
American League
No less than 3 pitchers with 6 wins already.

National League
James Burke is off to an awesome season. He is on track to win over 36 games and maybe finish with win #350.
