Save Awarded in a Blowout
First off, I don't know just what sticky thread this should go in so I'm just posting it on the open forum. Also, I don't know if the league file is relevant, but I'll upload it if need be.
I just played a game in a league I'd originally created in OOTP14 and have just imported to 18. The Jays blew out the Yankees 15-3 with the bulk of that scoring coming before I called on the bullpen. However, my reliever was credited with a save, both in the text recap and the box score. |

He pitched four, though I hadn't realized that would count as a save when the difference in the score was never less than 10. Is that the rule though?

A pitcher who pitches the last three or more innings as a reliever when he takes over in the game is automatically credited a save, no matter the score.

Yes. Any pitcher that pitches three or more in relief is credited with the save.
