Battery Usage issue
Why does MLB Manager use so much battery?? I wish I could play more before having to run and get on my charger. Is anyone else experiencing this? If not what am I doing wrong?

The simming process is pretty hardware-intensive, so if you're simming large chunks at a time, especially with the "sim ahead to date X" feature, you'll see a significant battery drain. Unfortunately, I don't know what we can do about that, since that kind of crunching is always tough on batteries.

I play most games out, maybe a season a day with a month or two of simming, maybe 15% battery usage.

I have background app refresh and location services off too so I know that couldn't be the issue

Games usually use a good amount of battery, both on iOS and Android. Even though MLB Manager isn't drawing a lot of fancy graphics on the screen, it's still using horsepower for the simming. Even when playing games out, it's still making calculations and such. And then when you start simming days, weeks, and months at a time, it really taxes your hardware.
But even if you're just playing out a game at a time and not simming ahead at all, it's still going to use up your battery life. |
