I'm trying to imagine the OBP baseline for a Hobbit-based league.

Ents strike me as more likely to be Rob Deer types. Lots of Ks, lots of dingers. Maybe Adam Dunn would be a better comparison. #6-7 hitters in the lineup at best, always play them at 1B for the ability to stretch for balls thrown to them. Somehow, I doubt their ability to turn DPs up the middle.

The key to league stability will be having enough riot gear available when the Orcs in the Bronx try to riot when a call is correctly reversed against them, like during Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS.

Not to be racist, but I'd want an Elvish SS at a bare minimum, preferably at 2B as well.
