The Rangers called... and I listened. A number of teams were interested in Roberto Osuna... despite our scouts not being super high on him, but I didn't get an offer I liked until now. TO TEXAS Roberto Osuna and Adam Loewen TO TORONTO Colby Lewis and $2,760,000 in salary relief. Last edited by rpriske; 05-16-2013 at 09:39 AM. |

Colby Lewis and Matt Joyce are given spots on the Blue Jays roster. To make room, Josh Johnson was sent to Buffalo, with the understanding that it is to work out the problems he has had so far on the mound. Hopefully it is temporary.

It took 15 innings and every bat on the bench but the Blue Jays beat the Padres 7-4. It was Adam Lind, who came in as a pinch-hitter and stayed in the game back in the 7th, with an RBI double to take the lead for Toronto. Melky Cabrera went 3 for 5 with a homerun before leaving the game on a double switch. J.P. Arencibia and Edwin Encarnacion also both went deep. WP - Aaron Loup (1-0) Save - Casey Janssen (12) LP - Jason Marquis (1-1) Record - 23-33 |

The Blue Jays lost a lot more than a game today. A walk-off single by Andres Torres in the 13th gave the Giants the 3-2 win, spoiling a nice Jay debut for Colby Lewis, but the real cost was the loss of both Brett Lawrie and Matt Joyce. The prognosis on Joyce is still unavailable but Lawrie was strained his PCL and will be out for 5 weeks. Both Bautista and Lawrie out? The season doesn't look like it is going to get any better for Toronto. WP - Javier Lopez (1-0) LP - Steve Delabar (1-1) Record - 25-34 |

TRADE
To Houston: Dustin McGowan To Toronto: Brandon Barnes I had some interesting offers for McGowan. Nick Swisher was the biggest name, but he has a too hefty contract that comes with him. Darrin Ruf was interesting, but I decided to go with the better fielder. Barnes was assigned to Buffalo. |
