Hitting Streaks

Maybe not a bug - but certainly a frustration.

Twice this season, I had a hitting streak going; the first 20 games, and the 2nd 24 games, when the AI manager substituted the player - ending the hitting streak.

Besides the fact that the player deserved to keep playing the streak out, the team also losses whatever achievement points there would have been had the streak continued to its natural end.

Either the AI manager should not be allowed to end the streak through a managerial decision - or - the team should still earn the achievement points based on how far he DID go.

Frustrated.

Just so I understand, the problem is that you have a 20-game hit streak, the guy goes 0-3 and gets pinch hit/defensive subbed for in the 8th or so? I agree, managers try to let players keep a streak alive, and it's frustrating to have a streak die that way, but the devs should be sure not to overcorrect. Most managers will *try* to help a streak, but not at the expense of losing a close game. I don't want AI managers to play to win PT instead of baseball.

No, the player is available for his 21st game - but the AI manager "rests" him in favor of someone else - thus, streak over.

Hitting streaks don't end if a player doesn't play. He needs one AB to end the streak (so going 0-0 with 4 walks doesn't end a hitting streak either).

That's the plan - but in both cases, (if I didn't screw up my followup) the player was pulled for a substitute/rest and the game considered the streak over.

PS: Let me watch for it again. If I can come up with screen prints I'll do that, if not I'm probably not paying close enough attention.
