Adult Baseball League - 1 RARE spot open

The ABL has been around since 2012. In 7 years of real life we have completed 27 exciting seasons of history. We still have a core of original owners. We have owners from the US & Canada. We are a very active league of OOTP friends. We use slack for the majority of our communication as well a Google Group Email. We are a fast paced league simulating 7 days of games up to five times a week. In the playoffs, we go when teams are ready so things move at a good pace in the ABL. We have amazing podcasts and PRs done by the GMs to help make the league experience more than just watching live sims. We use the incredible utility Stats Plus by David. We also have Statslab too. We have a great website. This is a premiere league looking for a committed OOTP friend to join us. If you read through the constitution you will find a way to load the league file and look through the roster. The league has many helpful GMs so we are open to experts to really any form of experience with OOTP. ABL has been classified as very unique league in terms of rules and ratings etc. so the learning curve on the value of players usually takes more time than normal. We only show potential ratings and stats, actual ratings are hidden. We have 24 GMs, we have a minor system consisting of AAA, AA, A & Rookie League. We have feeders from Canada, Japan, NCAA and as well a High School league. We use an incentive system to reward players for doing exports on time, PRs and also the ability to earn points based on real sports life events such as a NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB playoff pool. We also have a unique financial Revenue Sharing system that takes from the rich and gives to the poor allowing patient GMs that like to rebuild a team a better chance than most OOTP leagues from experience to improve sooner than later.

I just finished my 8th season in the league. The team I took over when I joined was in disarray, and I had to build the team from nothing. I joined with a bit of hesitancy, as I knew it could take many *many* seasons to build a team up to be able to compete, and sometimes online leagues come and go or are otherwise unstable or not worth a large time investment. Would it be worth spending what would ultimately be a year or more of real life effort in order to rebuild this team?

I had no reason to be concerned with this league. Jason is one of the best commissioners you could ask for, and the dedication of the other GMs cannot be denied. The league is very active in slack, very willing to answer or discuss questions/thoughts/ideas, and overall extremely competitive. Over the last five seasons, three of the World Series winning teams have been first time winners, showing a good level of parity in the league that looks to continue forward into the future. And this league moves fast - you gotta be able to be flexible, involved, and active in monitoring e-mails, slack, and exporting.

Make no mistake, the team that is available needs a lot of help. This team has the #3 draft pick in the upcoming season, and you will get a chance to build this team as you want in the upcoming seasons. But if you're up for the challenge and if making friends with a group of passionate GMs sounds like your idea of a worthy past-time, you should give this league a shot. Most GMs have been in this league for many real life years, so positions are typically few and far between!
