Manually Assigning Drafted Players

So I want to manually assign the 2014 draft class to their respective teams. My strategy was to draft by one team through each round (i.e first round all the D-Backs players and on and on) Then I was going to go into the editor and place all drafted players in their respective rookie league to circumvent the signing bonuses they would require, since the 30th overall would IRL be the 30th round and you wouldn't want to give them a 3 mil bonus.

My question is, does randomly assigning them to the rookie league mess their contract status up? Would they all be free agents too soon?

It shouldn't , that's based on Major League Service Time. Or they could be Rule 5 eligible if they are rotting in the minors for a long time, but probably not an issue for the stud rookies.
