This. A lot of people seem to assume that since backing up takes so much time, it's not worth doing except once a year or so. But in reality, while the initial backup will be a long process, any subsequent ones won't take nearly as long (unless you back up infrequently - you see the issue).

Since OOTP automatically saves before a backup anyway, I just backup the game every time I want to save. It doesn't take more than half a minute or so.

I just always kept clicking the back button over and over which was a complete pain in the rear. Especially when you looked at many pages on the profile lol.

Also look through all the league and team report functions carefully. You'll be surprised at what all is in there.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Advice serves for any computer software, but who cares about work documents and school papers? Losing OOTP work REALLY hurts!
Perhaps I misunderstand; are you saying OOTP has automatic backups? I know about weekly or daily saves but not backups.

Wow I never knew about right clicking to close player profiles, and have been playing since OOTP X - great to know.
