108 Team College Schedule

Hey GMO I got a tough one for you lol. Any help would be appreciated. Tried doing this on my own but just made me appreciate what you do all the more.

I'm looking to make schedules for my feeder leagues. My first schedule need is for a 1 sub league 10 division 114 team Schedule The number of games 50-75 whatever works for you. I could do 1 - 3 game series. Just want the playoffs to be over before the June 1st draft so playoffs ending sometime mid-late may. The playoffs are a 16 team best of 3 format. The end date is the only thing I care about everything else you do what you think woudl work best. Right now I'm currently starting on March 5th and playing 50 games and it's ending right around may 20th every year.

Divisons are set up as follows

Division 1 - 12 teams
Division 2 - 12 teams
Division 3 - 10 teams
Division 4 - 12 teams
Divison 5 - 12 teams
Divison 6 - 15 teams
Divsion 7 - 9 teams
Divison 8 - 12 teams
Divison 9 - 8 teams
Divison 10 - 12 teams

And then for my H.S. League I need a 40ish game schedule for a 2 sub league 2 divisions 28 team league. (7 teams in each division) Also ending before the May 1st draft. With a 40 game schedule starting on March 15th I'm ending right where I want to be right now. Again Feel Free to make any changes minus to the league structure. Series length, schedule length all what you think would work best.

Any help would be awesome. thank you sir.

P.S. sorry for the thread name I decided to add 6 teams to the college feeder as I wrote this.

The best I think I could do for this would be making all division games for the 114-team schedule. Different sized divisions are really difficult as I noted when talking about the MLB configuration. But with 50 or a bit more games, only division games seems reasonable.

Doing the same for the smaller league would probably be simplest in that case too.

# 114 team schedule, 56 games
# Designed for the following configuration:
# 1 subleague with 5 divisions of 12, 12, 10, 12, 12, 15, 9, 12, 8, 12 teams
#
#
# Only division games
# 12 team divisions : 5-6 games per opponent (2-3H/2-3A)
# 10 team divisions : 6-7 games per opponent (3-4H/3-4A)
# 15 team divisions : 4 games per opponent (2H/2A)
# 9 team divisions : 7 games per opponent (3-4H/3-4A)
# 8 team divisions : 8 games per opponent (4H/4A)
#
# Schedule is arbitrarily not considered balanced
# All this matters for is the setting in the game
#
# Schedule is largely 2-game series with also may 3-game and some 1-game
#
# Teams may play extended streaks of consecutive days without offday
#
# No homestands or roadtrips longer than 14 games
#
# All game times set at 7:05pm
#
# Season begins March 1
# Season thus ends May 2
#
# No All-Star Break set

Hey GMO. Quck question for you. For these two sets of schedules how would I go about pushing the NCAA start date to be 10 days earlier and the H.S. leagues to be about 7 days later. Thanks.

Open the file in a text editor like notepad or Wordpad. At the top of the file is a SCHEDULE line. It has various parameters, including a couple like start_month="3" start_day="15", which set the start for March 15. If you want it to start 7 days earlier, just change the value for start_day to "8". Depending on how you want to deal with the leap day, 10 days before March 1 for the other schedule would be start_month="2" start_day="19" or start_month="2" start_day="20".
