Juicing vs. Contact

I heard someone, in passing conversation, talking about the MLB juicing the baseballs for more home runs. His argument was that he had no problem with the alleged juiced baseballs because the one thing everyone forgets is that you still have to be able to make the contact necessary to send the ball out.
While I believe his point isn't totally lost, my opinion is that if the balls weren't juiced balls, with good square contact, they might only be a long fly out to the track or off the wall for doubles / triples.

I think I said that right?!

Thoughts? Opinions?

I agree with you that it matters. He's not wrong for liking it just because he likes it. I wish more people would just say that instead of trying to make up a reason. As far as I'm concerned, baseball can do what they want, just be honest about it. People make a big deal out of it, IMO, mostly because they want to compare eras. Moreso in baseball than any other sport.

I really do not care if the ball is juiced or not. If players started making long fly outs, I suppose some may try to change their launch trajectory trying to get singles or hitting the gap for doubles.
