2070 Season (MLB All-Star Game)

2070 All-Star Game:
Rich Hamilton Wins MVP in National League Victory over American League

Although his team came out on the losing end, nobody could deny Rich Hamilton's performance in this year's all-star game.

The American League All-Stars fell to the National League All-Stars by a score of 4-3, but Hamilton was still named the game's MVP.

"You would have liked to have won the game of course, but being named the MVP is a great honor," he said from his team's dressing room at Chase Field.

In the contest, Hamilton went 2 for 3.

2070 Season (MLB Playoff Push & Roster Expansion)

September 2070 (Playoff Push & Roster Expansion)
As we enter the beginning of September and Clubs expand their rosters for the playoff push, we have three clear favorites to win their respective divisions in the AL West Dallas Cowboys, NL East Pittsburgh Steelers, and NL West Vancouver Whitecaps. The Whitecaps have picked up right where they left off last season and currently own the best record in the majors – with the retooled Pittsburgh club close behind. In the wildcard races, it appears as if the Seattle Sounders and Brooklyn Citizen are leading they way though neither are a lock for the honor.

2071 Season (NCAA May Madness)

Strangeverse 2071 Season

May 2071:

NCAA: It’s time to celebrate title #4 for the Santa Clara Broncos. When the dust settled, the #10 ranked Broncos found themselves standing alone at the top after vanquishing the #8 ranked Troy Trojans by a score of 11-to-1. Each of Santa Clara’s top three starters, led by the highly touted and 2070 MVP SP Quirk Benoit, will be returning to campus next season in the hopes of a repeat performance.

2071 NCAA Final Four: Santa Clara defeats Texas (3-2); Troy defeats the Houston (9-7).
2071 NCAA Championship: Santa Clara defeats Troy (11-1)
Season MVP: SP Merl Crawford, Baylor (21 years old, 60 Potential). His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 6-2 record. In 9 starts he piled up 63.2 innings, had 79 strikeouts with 16 walks and a 1.55 ERA. Crawford held opposing hitters to a .190 batting average and compiled a 2.5 WAR. Merl is entering the 2071 Amateur Draft and with an MVP under his belt he should see his stock improved.

2071 Season (NCAA Offseason)

The NCAA announced that the Port Chester University Whooping Cranes will be the newest addition to the DI Baseball Association. The school was added to Division I on the basis of strong community action and student body citizenship. It is believed that the Dean of the University may have something on one or more NCAA board members as many pundits try to make sense of this addition to the league.

PCU joins the NCAA Unaffiliated Division in 2071.

2071 Season (MLB Playoff Push)

September 2071 (Playoff Push & Roster Expansion):
September is upon us and some teams are furiously jockeying for playoff positioning while others are trying to figure out what went wrong and where to go from here. The Seattle Sounders and Pittsburgh Steelers picked up right where they left off at the end of last season and are in possession of the 1st and 2nd best records in the Majors respectively. The Steelers are currently the #1 power ranked team behind the Brooklyn Citizens with Seattle sitting in the 3rd spot.

2071 Season (MLB Awards)

2071 Awards:
2071 AL Boyce Rigg Award (MVP):
2B Rich Hamilton (5-Time Winner, Golden State Warriors, 30, 143rd overall pick out of Maryland in 2062. All season long Rich Hamilton gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .319 as he collected 174 hits, 25 doubles, no triples, 28 home runs and 95 RBIs.

2071 NL Boyce Rigg Award (MVP): 1B Holly Dearaujo (Los Angeles Lakers, 31, 26th overall pick out of Kentucky in 2061). The Los Angeles first baseman put up a batting average of .338 with 30 doubles, 1 triple, 39 home runs and 120 RBIs. Holly hit two grand slams and a walk-off this year – clutch city.

2071 AL Vic Pacheco Award (Top Pitcher): SP Max Harrington (Golden State Warriors, 26, 12th overall pick out of Oklahoma in 2060). Harrington compiled a 19-6 record in 31 starts, tallied 248 strikeouts in 234.1 innings and recorded a 2.57 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .226 batting average against him.

2071 NL Vic Pacheco Award (Top Pitcher): SP E. J. Born (Pittsburgh Steelers, 28, 3rd overall pick out of USC in 2065). He dominated all season, finishing with 22 wins and 8 losses and a 2.73 ERA. In 33 starts he worked a total of 244 innings, striking out 245, while walking 50. Other clubs managed to hit only .240 against him. Mesmerized by Born's tasty 'stache, batters felt off balance every time they faced him. It's just too much sexy to handle. It's all the sexy. Plus, he has a pretty nasty cutter.

2071 Offseason (Note)

I'm going to start skipping the Bush League & Shortlist Recaps as I'm starting to dig deeper into the Majors... Let's just say that the Beaumont Bullies won the 2071 title... I was pulling for the Donnybrooks (they are my go-to BL Club)...
