CD needs help for Atlanta Flying Mudflap Brains

If someone could provide a full set for the following team for me, for at least, I would be most appreciative, for sure, folks. Details are as follows:

Team Name: Atlanta Flying Mudflap Brains (Brains for short)

Team Colors: Dark blue, dark red, gray, and one to three other colors, if you think they're appropriate enough here to go with the first three colors.

Need primary Logo, secondary logo or logos, home white or light-colored uniform, away gray (shade up to designer) or dark-colored uniform, and one to three alternates in whatever other colors you think appropriate, with either the full team nickname, the location name, or Brains on the front of the alternate jersey or jerseys, if you think best, when it comes to them.

Caps should either have a miniaturized version of any of the related logos, or have either the letters AFMB or FMB or A on them, in whatever style or styles as you may so choose. Main cap color or colors should be primarily gray, with other colors as you may perhaps see fit to use here, as well.

Logos should hopefully feature something along the lines of flying mudflaps from cars/trucks/whatever with brains, at the very least. You are each quite free to use your imaginations as you see fit here, in relation to the above suggested concept for the needed logos, just as long as they are not circular or square, and just as long as dark blue, dark red, and gray, at least, are used for the logos in question here. The more unusual they might look, the better, in fact. I hope to be pleasantly surprised here, as well.

All items should preferably fit the 1900's to roughly 1925 or so, timeframe-wise, if possible, as well, at the very least. If not for even longer than that, for that matter. Logos should preferably be 300x300 in size for primary, 150x150 for secondary logo or logos.

Thank you in advance if you decide to help me out here, folks. Please feel free to take whatever time you may need for the above, if and when you need to and want to here. CD out.

Currently using the color codes below for at least one version of this team:

Team color: 00017B
Team text color: 9B080F
Ballcap main color: C0C0C0
Ballcap visor color: C0C0C0
Jersey main color: FFFFFF
Jersey secondary color: C0C0C0
Jersey pin stripes color: C0C0C0
Jersey away color: BABABA

I'm not totally sold on those colors, so if anyone could suggest better potential colors to use, et cetera, I'd certainly consider using them, of course. Thanks. CD out.

The "Mudflap Brains"

So I saw your post, and being the generous type, with nothing else holding me back, I produced a spin on the Mudflap Brains. I'd like to know with what recreation you got the inspiration for "mudflap Brains", as that is not something I would have dreamed of in my lifetime, and I like to think I partake in some good "recreations" if you catch my drift....

Take it or leave it CD, just thought I'd burn a little of my candle to help you out.

I like the proposed jersey a good deal. Although I'm not quite sure just how I came up with the idea of having brained mudflaps flying, or something similar to that, at the current moment. I definitely wasn't drinking or anything, but somehow I got the idea, and it's kind of stuck with me now for I don't know how long. My brain gets unusual ideas at times, believe it or not, which I sometimes don't expect and/or can't always explain or understand easily enough. Or at least not at first, anyway, that is.

I do like the colors you have chosen for use here, but I'm not so sure about the logo on the cap. I'll definitely take the provided jersey, at least, though, for sure, and use it somewhere and at sometime. The relevant saved game(s)/dynasty(ies), however, are sometime in the 1910's, I believe, at the moment, for any or all of them.

Thanks for your help, LL. CD out.

How might I be able to help you as well, if possible, LL? I'd be glad to try and help you out, if and when I could, of course. Maybe I could have the game create a player for the upcoming SRL first-year draft in December 1901, and have you provide the necessary numbers and all for their player profile or something, so that I can modify said profile and all accordingly? Just a thought, that's all. CD out.

This took a little while

I made an alternate or away Mudflap Brains jersey too. I couldn't quite get the outline I'd like, but it wouldn't be noticeable in the game anyways.

As for help? Well, I've been trying to rally the community of jersey makers to crank out some HS feeder teams. I am trying to create a league with a bunch of feeder teams from real life HS teams. So far I have about 1200 slots, which I have create well over 400 jersey sets for. No offense, but I don't get the vibe from your posts that you have much resolve in creating jersey sets. If you wanted to learn, I'd be more than happy to show you some tricks and tips. At the very least, you could complete all the specific sets you want. That's what I did with my HS feeder teams, I knew there was no way in hell I'd be able to get anybody to pony up for that workload. As they say, if you want it done right, best to just do it yourself.

At the end of the day, these jersey sets are pretty easy to create, it's the time factor that is daunting. No worries, I'm pretty masochistic. I stumbled across your request, was eating dinner, and just thought I'd kick these out, maybe you'd be able to put them to use.

I'm willing to try and learn how to do things well, and I made some really interesting and colorful stuff for that virtual world I've mentioned before prior to its closure. As I've probably mentioned before, I used to periodically do work in certain areas for various items in more confined areas for related templates, even on a pixel-by-pixel basis, at that.

If I could do the same thing here, I could certainly make a lot of things exactly as I might want them, I think. But certain OOTP-related programs don't seem to allow that to be done here, do they?

Thanks for your help and all. It is much appreciated, in any case. I can't wait to dive back into your HS-related thread and grab several sets later, once I figure out what I might need here, and which you've already provided here. I have to say, in complete honesty, your work here is some of the best work I've seen to date here on these forums.

Feel free to check out my DeviantArt account to see a couple of examples of some images I did related to items for that virtual world. Unfortunately, I don't likely have pictures of nearly everything I made for that virtual world there, or even on my computer, for various reasons, but there are still some items there that I think you'd like seeing, somehow.

Keep up the great work, I hope. CD out.

Thanks for the kind words, I'd like to think I'm really good or have a talent for making jerseys, but the real truth is I'm resourceful, and that's really all you have to be, not to mention imaginative.

You can work pixel by pixel if you want. What you have to do is create the basic concept with the jersey maker tools, then upload it into whatever graphics editor you choose. I use the jersey creators, paint, Irfanview, and real world paint. No photoshop, and very rarely GIMP.

The other trick is fonts, I spent a few hours a day for about a week scouring the free font sites and uploading all I saw with potential. Now I have so many, I waste too much time trying to find the one I want. But I'll take plenty over scarcity any day.

It's all about layers, you can take the basics from the online jersey maker and layer over that with the jersey creator. Make multiple saves and add what you want.
Draw up your wordmark and make it huge in the jersey creator, than crop it out with irfanview, adjust/modify it in real world paint, than run it through irfanview and make it a transparent picture. Bam, paste it to your jersey. Like I said, easy peasy, just time consuming.

The sky's the limit when you add a little imagination to these programs already available, it's really pretty cool.

Well, I don't actually have irfanview, but others might. I primarily work with MS Paint, when I do art-related stuff, if not always. Just how familiar are you with Minnesota high school and/or college-level teams in various sports from the past couple of decades, at least? Just curious, that's all. CD out.

Well as you can see in my handle, I hail from the land of 10,000 lakes. I am fairly familiar with the local Minnesota HS action, as my son plays for the local HS here in Waseca. I also have cousins that were Minnesota all state wrestlers from Mankato. I am a Gophers fan, die hard Viqueen fatalist, and remember fondly watching the 91 twins stomp the Braves in game 7.

Irfanview is a free download, and in my opinion the best basic graphic manipulator out there. It's my premier tool.

I used to live near Mankato for a while, but now am elsewhere in the state. Won't say where, for obvious reasons, but I still live somewhere in Minnesota. Blue Jays is the school's nickname for their teams, if I remember correctly, is it not? At least once upon a time, they were in the South Central Conference with New Ulm and a number of other schools like St. James, for example?

Thanks for your input. CD out.

The fact you call yourself a "Viqueen" fan makes me smile. We refer to them as that all the time. I love baseball, but man I can't wait until September.

As for the OP, interesting name. I'd take it any day over "Baby Cakes".

Anyone have any better thoughts for a logo, to go with the colors provided? I'm not sold on the silhouetted woman-type thing for it, but the text and colors are interesting, I think, in any case. Thanks for your help so far, LL. CD out.

And I don't know how I could layer things in MS Paint, at least, either. Probably not possible in that program, come to think of it. CD out.

Still wondering if someone has a better idea for a team logo besides a silhouetted woman for this team. Does anyone? If so, I'd like to see what you have or can come up with, of course, please. CD out.

I just came up with some prospective uniforms for this particular team, but haven't made any matching caps yet to go with them, and I still unfortunately need logos for this team. IF you want to see what I've come up with for them so far, then please go to my primary graphics thread, if and when you like and can, folks. Thank you. CD out.
