Very long schedules > 1 yr
I created a very, very large league structure with a schedule that runs to about 480 games per team per season. (Call me crazy ... I won't argue the point.)
It actually worked. The season ran about 18 months, and I was able to sim it through, do the playoffs, and start the next season. But OOTP will only show the scheduled games for the current year. It fell out that the 2nd season started in December, so I only see the first month of the schedule. I'll see more of it in January and the rest of it the following January. Am I asking OOTP to do too much--- namely, to handle and display a multi-year schedule? |

OOTP isn't designed for seasons to cross over a year boundary. It's been done, but is generally a bad idea.

Yes indeed
Thanks for the reply. I'm not surprised. Schedules longer than a year are pretty far out there in terms of reality --- more like unreality --- and I can't reasonably expect OOTP to support that.
But it was fun to try it out. And it worked perfectly as far as simming, just not viewing. Maybe I can rearrange my league to have something less than 480 games in a season |
