August "live start" -- earlier games unplayed

Hi, I created a new game using "live start" and selected Aug. 23 as the start date (via the custom game menu). In real life, the Mets had a record of 67-60 going into that date. But in the game, it showed the Mets had a record of 61-52, meaning 14 games from earlier in the season weren't "played" or reflected in the team record or individual player stats. I paged through the team schedule to try to figure out what happened. Turns out there are 2 weeks -- from April 20 through May 3 -- which the schedule shows as blank. To make up for it, the game has scheduled a bunch of doubleheaders for September, including 3 in 3 days vs the Phillies, which will definitely tax my pitching staff. It even added a make-up doubleheader against the Cardinals for the day after the regular season ends. Help! This isn't supposed to happen!

I tried to add a zip file but the process isn't working for me. I keep getting the same error -- security token not found -- when I try uploading the file. I'm using 7z as my zip software. It's not WinZip, I admit, but it doesn't cost $30 either. It's free, and it works fine for all my other needs.

Hey Walter,

Funny you should mention this I actually sent the devs a similar report yesterday when I attempted to start a "live start" of an AZ Dbacks game for testing. They had a series in May against the Rays that was not considered finished and was rescheduled for September even though it has been finished in real life. This puts records 3 games behind so there's definitely an issue with the live start at the moment.

I'll forward your thread here on to the devs and we'll see what they can fix for us.

Most likely its a server related issue so i'll try to be in touch with more info shortly.

Thanks
Alex

Most likely, there may have been a temporary issue grabbing some of these files, and thus we default to replaying those games.

I'd suggest turning on tracing and running the live start again, and then feel free to load your ootp_trace.txt to us here and we can see if we can spot the error. If there continues to be issues let us know and we might be able to look into ways to prevent this more going forward.
