Roster Status says "No matching league found"

I'm playing a fictional league with finances turned off. I started with an initial draft to fill all the teams. There are 8 teams, each with a AAA, AA and A minor league team.

I'm into the second year, and trying to understand more about the game. Particularly, I wanted to send some players down to the minors, and wanted to know how that would affect his option status.

The manual shows a screen that shows that under a player's Roster Status Information I should see information about major league service time, option years, etc.

All I see, for every player in the league is three lines:
  • Player Expectation: with different verbiage for each player
  • Trade availability: Available (or not)
  • No matching league found!

That is all that is on any players, and they all have it.

Also, under Contract Information, every player, whether in the Major or minor leagues has a minor league contract.

Seems like something is out of whack. Any thoughts.
