Hmmm. I should amend the tone of this. I abhor violence; hence what I said in 2), I will elaborate upon.

When I said these "toads" (a euphemism for another word of similar length which also includes the letters "t" and "d") should be stepped on and squashed, it means the following:

- Their Twitter/Facebook/etc. accounts should be closed.
- Fiers should be encouraged to sue the makers of the "snitches get stitches" glasses and the bar(s) which is(are) selling them.
- Fiers should also file a complaint of harassment with the authorities, covering the glass maker, the bars, and ex-players promoting violence.

Fiers basically did the right thing for the wrong reason. The toads who are threatening him did, or condone doing, the wrong thing, period. They should be stepped on and squashed, figuratively.

Nah, just trying to stand up for what's right, as I always try to do or at least intend to do.

Look, sure there is that understandable reaction when someone is a rat. Fiers is a rat. Why didn't he come forward in 2017 if his motives were altruistic? Instead, he waits until he moves to a rival team to spill the beans. I wouldn't like him either.

But neither would I be thinking of smashing a "snitches get stitches" glass and cutting him with it. There are ENOUGH violent ignoramuses out there without selling them provocations and making profits on them.

I think you misunderstand me good Sir - it is I who have become Mike Fier's spiritual bodyguard, because he's awesome and I wish he never left the Brewers

I did indeed misunderstand you, sir, not that I took any umbrage at all. Thanks for clarifying.

The new series of ‘Sunderland Til I Die’ is on Netflix, following the English football club. Well worth a watch imo.

Is this covered under the CBA ?

sounds like this creates a wash for the Astros losing picks .
No it will still suck for the Cheatstros. With the cap at 20k for undrafted players, and the NCAA giving seniors a redo on their year of eligibility, the NCAA and Juco will be stacked with talent for the 2021 season. You will probably see a lot of transfers as well since there is no lost year in baseball for transfering

Couple of other links - the first is about Darryl Strawberry trying to give advice for people to stay sober during the current pandemic, although I haven't been able to personally view it, as it's only available in the US. The second is a link to a new video podcast this week, SABRcast With Rob Neyer.
