Expansion advice requested

Hey. I usually keep things as close to realistic as possible. I don't even usually sign free agents as the Reds owner. But I love this game so much that I want to utilize its features this year, so I'm going to expand. I've decided to still move the Astros to the AL, and add a team in both leagues. I want to set up the divisions like the NFL. Four divisions of four teams, not sure if I want to do 2 wild cards with 2 out of 3 series, then 3 out of 5 in the second round, then 4 of 7. Or just go with four division winners 3 of 5 and 4 of 7. Will the game let me do these things? If so, what are the best settings to have to do this?

Yes, you can have those divisional alignments and those playoff scenarios, with some limitations if you are doing actual historical... Not sure what you are asking regarding settings, though.
