Can You Edit Game Recaps?

In past versions you could edit a game recap on the League Scores Screen.

On OOTP19 there is no place to edit the game recap.

Today I started my league playoffs where I play out each game.

I played the first one and wrote the game recap... and then all of a sudden I see where the other three playoff games had already been played.

I wanted to rewrite the recaps because the game recaps are not done very well.

I looked everywhere to find a buttom to allow me to edit the game recaps... couldn't find it.

Anybody know if you can edit game recaps in OOTP19?

Also anybody know why my other 3 playoff games "quick" played without my knowledge?

Would appreciate your help.

I hope there is some way to edit game recaps.

After the games are played, on the schedule/scores page, which you're on, top right corner. Click the drop down.

Here is a screenshot from OOTP18.

Notice there is a button to write the recap.

I would use this button to rewrite the game recap... I could do it a month later and it would still allow it.

I know I can use the game box score to recap the game in OOTP19... where is the button to edit the game recap on the League Scores screen.

Click Box Scores to Enlarge.

As for the other games, when you start your 1st game, in the pregame screen, scroll down and make sure this is set to "No"

Looks like it's getting cut off due to screen resolution possibly.

What is your native desktop resolution and what is OOTP set to?

Is that the only place where you can disable the World Simulation Mode?

I have to start a playoff game and make sure I disable the World Simulation there?

Yes - that's what you wanted isn't it? To play out 1 game and have the others not play out?

I want to play out all of the playoff games myself... I don't want any of them simulated by the AI.

I'll play out the next game and see if I can disable the mode there.

Thank you for your help.

Bluenoser, I found it and disabled it.

Boy, if you don't know to scroll down, you can miss something important.

There should be a global setting for the World Simulation Mode... not hidden at the bottom of a screen like this.

Thank you very, very much, Bluenoser… you are a tremendous help here on the Forums.

Eugene - once you set it the first time, the setting sticks until you change it again. So though it's difficult to find, it sort of is global, as your choice is permanent until changed again.

Cheers

No, I just didn't post the entire right side of the screen.

1904 x 1001 is the screen size in the OOTP Settings... I have a 23-inch monitor.

Here is what my screen looks like... I think it is all there.

Don't see the "edit recaps" anywhere.

Could the "edit recaps" have been added in the final patch?

I have not downloaded it yet.

Do you have recaps enabled in league setup? Are the default ones showing up?

Yes, in game settings it say "Yes" for all Major Leagues... the game recaps are being generated.

I only have one league, I suppose it is the Major League.

I have "No" for the graph generation... don't think this would affect the recaps.

I switched skins to see if that would make a difference.

I changed the screen from Windowed to Full Screen.

"edit recaps" still did not show up on the League Scores screen.

I just downloaded the final game patch issued recently... several weeks ago... and guess what?

I can now see on the League Scores screen "edit recaps".

I don't know what I did, but it is working fine now.

Many thanks to you for the help.
