Here's a surefire HOF player still going in my season... in particular take note of his age 24 season in 1976
I wish the 'Won Championship' symbols showed for players retroactively because he'd have 5. As it is, I use star symbols on the jersey to show how many championships a franchise has won which was certainly all his doing in this case! |

My Legend is Jose Fernandez beyond words and did NOT edit anything with him.

As do I, he already leads the league in HR's and has many more years to set the mark. Of course, I started the league in 1970 so it's not that impressive but he has an 86 home run league on the next guy whose career is nearly over.
I like the idea of this thread, here are a couple of the legend pitchers in my league. |

Also how did you put the symbol on the jersey? That's awesome...

As for the stars on the jersey, I use Photoshop and just overlay a GIF I have of a gold star and add one every year to the team that wins the championship. So after every season whoever had the gold star I change it to silver and add a gold to the new champion. I've run into an issue with the Sharks since they won 5 so I think I'm going to add a pentagon shape with the number 5 in the middle of the stars, then get rid of the silver stars and keep 1 gold whenever they win their six championship. I'm just crazy that way and like how the MLS has stars around their logo on their jerseys to represent their championships won. |

There was an international scouting find in a league I had in v14 that hit 800+ homers and put up Mike Trout level WAR's year after year. I wish the save wasn't corrupted, because he was awesome. Tragically the team he was on (the Tigers) only made the World Series once or twice with him because of the team I was running (Oakland).

in my mlb quickstart im currently playing, Stanton stayed healthy for a season. I believe that is an accomplishment in itself. he also managed to hit .300 with 40+ homers. so im happy with it

Is that not the actual stats Billy Hamilton (1800s) put up in his career? There's no CS because they didn't keep numbers of that back then.

Then OotP has done a really good job in this instance of mirroring real-life accomplishments, as Hamilton's in-game stats are very, very similar to his real-life stats if you go by baseball-reference.com & exactly the same if you go by baseball-almanac.com.
