It would be great to have challenges, with historical drafts on and be able to compare scores (with the same settings) as well as stories.
Markus responded to the The Wolf that this indeed would be in OOTP 16 which is fantastic!
So in the meantime, I am listing some challenges with historical drafts, OOTP engine on, no coaching, stats only.
This is with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
2001-2006 - Can you achieve the World Series in your first year? You have Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling (OOTP playing Curt Schilling
) two of the most dominant pitchers in all of baseball. A Cuban American Luis Gonzalez is the franchise poster boy. Win this and the franchise is on target to become the fastest franchise to reach the World Series from it's inaugural year. Will the franchise hold onto Schilling and Johnson?
2007- 2011- The big free agent era is over. Gonzo has gone and a new group of Diamondbacks has emerged. Young slugger Carlos Quentin, Gold glove 2nd baseman Orlando Hudson, Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb, Chad Tracy, eccentric closer Jose Valverde, Eric Byrnes, Stephen Drew, Conor Jackson, and former #1 prospect, the five tool talent, Justin Upton. Are these "baby backs" good enough to win it all? If they can be kept together what could they achieve?
If anyone has done any of these challenges or a Diamondback Historical it would be good to hear them.
