Overstacked positions in Minor Leagues

Have had this issue the last few seasons.
Seems my minor league manages love 1st basemen.Im actually finding that they are ignoring infielders in minors and loading up on 1B.

I have 7 in AAA (2 infielders), 10 in AA (10 1B, 4 OF and 2 C on roster- no infielders) and 7 in A ball (1 infielder but 6 catches)
Ive hit the " have AI setup complete minor league system" but hasn't changed much.
I have minor league manages and Ass.Gm make minor league moves.

Did I accidentally adjust something that caued this? I dont seem to see a section to adjust on where scouting should focus. (unless im missing it)

this is why 'more' is better than 'fewer' when it comes to MiL systems.

if you've reduced # of rounds or enforced some new roster rules regarding age or service time in the minors, you may want to evaluate the results and adjust.

also, you need to look at them more closely. a player listed as an OF in the minors isn't neccessarily going to play there in the mlb, just as in RL. a lack of players might be forcing people into neccessary positions too.. .all sorts of potential cuases here. this is good to happen on occasion, really... you cross train your players a bit before they hit the MLB, even if random in nature along the way.

if this is only 1 team, and the rest are fine, i'd ignore it, but upto you.

try adding a few rounds, adjusting any new roster rules mentioned above or a combination of the two.

if you didn't do any of that to begind with, then you might be able to help out by enforcing some of said rules on the level above or below that one to try to even it out -- if possible... i.e. if oyu see a tone of infielders on either team, try to push/pull them to that level that needs them through age or service time rules.

also, check for a setting akin to "fill minor leagues from top-down", might help. a settingn of top-level league under league settings->options or players sub tab?

worst case, flip on the ghost players option, and any minor hole will be filled with temporary players -- significantly less of a headache on this last suggestion.
