Points per Win/Draw

Is there a way in OOTP to run a league where standings are sorted like football with wins getting 3pts, draws getting 1 pt etc?

He's presumably talking about soccer (non-Americans call it football).

But how would there be ties in baseball? OOTP does not have ties, so not sure why you would need the points system.

could do 3 points for a win and 1 point for an extra inning loss...hes talking about running a league like the EPL..points based and (what would be) run differential based i think.

NHL doesn't do 3 points for wins.

Yeah sorry, as im from England, football is football, not NFL

OK, its a shame you cant force ties, ie have no extra innings.. I think a points based system would add an extra level of strategy to a league (in a fantasy setting obviously).

Thanks for clearing that up though.

Sat on deciding to get a dirt cheap OOTP19 key or go in on OOTP20 early access purchase!

Thinking going from 18 to 20 is a nice jump in generation to appreciate the game more, but having to weigh up if 20 is that much more than 19 (especially as 19 is fully patched in its current state)... and an extra 20 quid or so for that privilege of going new.

Honestly, I don't think OOTP can even handle ties at all. There are no stats or placeholders in the statistical structure to support it.

It's quite possible a lot of the game engine was programmed with the assumption that the game will finish with a win for one club and a loss for the other.
