Most points by a player
Whats the most points you achieved in a season with a player?
NHL wise, the most i got was 129 with Laine in my VKG dynasty, and didn't see the AI score any more... I had crosby at 85 points after 45 games and he got injured... never seem to get more... I wonder is there a limit on what can be scored? Last edited by tk43; 11-05-2017 at 03:19 PM. |

I had Gretzky get 250 points in a season, with 105 goals scored, one season in my historical game. He was centering Mike Bossy, so that may have helped. Bossy had 75 goals in the same season.

Anyone can tweak and change things so it's always hard with these kinds of threads. I had a guy get 119 points, forget if it was mcdavid or Crosby tho, was one of them. Without a super stacked team you shouldn't get much higher than that. If you put the best of the best together, you might get higher

Started a sim in 2017. Patrik Laine scored 111 points (55G-56A) for me in 2025/26. Pretty reasonable. But he was second on the team when Jesse Puljujarvi ruptured a disc in his back. He had 70 points (36G-34A) in the first 46 games and I've been wondering for two seasons since just how much he could've scored if he'd stayed even moderately healthy all year.

144 by mcdavid. This was when mcdavid, eichel and matthews all hit free agency and I cleared a lot of cap space to sign all three and moved matthews to lw eichel to rw and it led to 6 titles in 10 years or so. The most games we won with those 3 were 72. Was crazy. Almost seems like a bug to have those three ever hit free agency in their prime at 29

That's why I asked his tactics, because the amount of points surprised me, when compared to my saves. |

It seems that FHM4 is just like FHM3 where if I increase the average goals per game around the league goal scoring is increased throughout the entire team's roster, especially lower lines. Even in FHM3 I tried simming at the early 80's rate of goal scoring, 7.50 to 8.02 goals per game, and I would not get anything even close to any of the actual point totals among players from the NHL in the 80's let alone Gretzky and Lemieux numbers. At least on my sims, goals against average and save percentages increase dramatically (and rather unrealistically) once I creep into the 6.0 goals per game (there were quite a few goaltenders with GAA's lower than 3 and SV%'s in the .900's during the late 80's and 90's despite seeing around 7 goals per game..but once I hit 6.00 I hardly get any goaltenders below 3.00 GAA or even one save percentage over .900%)...but the goal scoring among players is just spread to the lesser lower line players it seems, not among the elites. Most of the highest point totals I get are either from historical replays in the 80's with real players or from Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid and Matthews....and once those players retire I get Craig Janney totals for all AI created players despite increasing overall goal output. In my opinion, I think the statistical output is kinda lacking once real players filter their way out after years of simming. Another case in point: despite low regular season numbers after increasing goals per game I often get record breaking performances in the playoffs. That kinda doesn't make sense....one 100 point guy during the regular season but a 20 goal guy or a 40 point guy or several 30 point guys in the playoffs. 6 goals a game isn't huge. That's for both teams in pretty sure

Go back to the most recent 6.00 or more goals per game season prior to 2005-06. It was 1995-96 and it was 6.28 goals per game....twelve 100-point scorers; eight 50 goal scorers; four players with 80 assists, two with 90 assists. And how do you account for the the output on my sims when I clearly said the goals per game was 6.50 yet I was still getting point totals akin to the past 5 years where 100 points even leads the league? Or what about when I've done set at 7-8 goals per game and still get paltry point totals for individual players? |

Why would I account for your SIM? I'm not a developer? I've run tests as well and like I told you 6 goals a game is not that high. I guess I should have expanded on my post for you Last edited by tcblcommish; 11-08-2017 at 03:37 PM. |

If you feel that this is a problem a end things aren't to your liking, post in the suggestion area or post a bug report. That's the best way to get the help you require.

Holy s*** that's a lot only in his second season. I have just started with Maple Leafs myself and will ofc build the team around him. Any tactical and training advice on how to get him around those numbers in a season?
