Notes

Jayden "Big Mouth" Brown flipped his bat thinking he had blasted a 3-run bomb in the 8th inning but still easily coasted into second base. "Cy Becker Stadium" went nucking futs as Brown smartly saluted the home town crowd from atop the bag at second.

Rookie SP Hector Barrios left the game to a light-standing applause when he left the game in the 6th inning with the bases loaded and no outs. He kept his head down as walked into the dug-out.

Gil Caitlin was the big hero of the game only giving up a sac-fly. Funny how he gets a blown save.

Tom Cantey continues to flash a hot stick.

Dwight Dooley was a kid that didn't have any friends. Nobody liked him because he was always so mean to all the other kids. Well, Dwight Dooley grew up to be a crotchety-old man. Why are we talking about Dwight Dooley?

Easy.

He likes to watch sports.

But he usually just complains all of the time. Anyway, he heard the Legends were in 1st place so--like a typical bandwagon fan--he bought his 1st ticket of the season. He was filing for the exits while everyone else was singing "take me out to the ballgame".

As he was exiting the stadium he sneered in disgust to the usher, "Maybe you should have given away more Cy Becker bobbleheads".

He didn't even hear about the late-game rally on the radio when he drove home. Instead, he put on some far right-wing news channel and listened to some drivel spouted off by morons.

The only thing that could make this day any worse, he thought, was if he got a flat tire on the freeway.

He did.
