When or where does my scout tell me if someones is ready for promotion?

I keep seeing in the manual and in the forums, when someone asks about promoting players, it is mention to follow the scout's advice. But I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Is there a specific menu or place on the player profile in which the scout says a particular player may be ready for promotion? Is this something you can get by request? Or do you have to wait for a periodic report that happens automatically or something?

Your scout doesn't recommend this, your minor league manager will.

Look at your team page, click on "Rosters & Transactions Tab" - look at your players at all levels. If there is a green arrow pointing up, he is recommending you move the player up a level. If it's red (pointing down) he's recommending the opposite.

Do NOT base your decisions solely on this recommendation, that's all it is - a recommendation. Use your own judgment as well. Look at the players Stats - is he dominating that level? Then he's probably ready for promotion. Is he barely getting by? May need some more time at a level down.

Thanks! I see that now.

There's never any report from the scout or manager where it actually says something like "ready for the bigs" or some such? I remember seeing that somewhere, or maybe in prior versions of OOTP I played years ago.

Please don't use that. Ever. Your own judgement is much better then the AI.

Agree. Judging by stats is by far the best way. I've had too many players listed as ready for the majors who would get sent right back down after a few games.

I think what you are looking for is located under Players/Overview and then in the upper right-hand corner drop down, select The minor league report option.
