A few questions

If I wanted to make a league with different teams from different years using Lahman (like an all-star league), will that be possible?

I really like the play by play in v5 and read where that will be improved for 2006. Other than being able to add my own words and stuff, how will it be improved? And will there be an option to adjust the speed of each line of text coming up? In v5 it seems to go too fast.

Adding stadiums, logos and faces seems awkward in v5. Will it be easier in 2006, like maybe having one folder for logos, one for faces, one for stadiums and allowing all leagues access to that location?

I understand adding park pictures. Will the game come with park stats for current and historical stadiums? Plus some fictional ones? Then all that needs to be done is add the picture?

That's all the questions I can think of for now.

Thanks,
Rich

Version 6 you could change the pbp speed, so I'd assume this would be the same for the new game.

Out of curiousity, what is akward about putting logos and picture packs into a folder?

Well, it seemed like you had to find what logos you wanted for each league and which faces for each and they would all go in different folders. Just seems like it would be easier to have them all in one folder and forget about it. It's not a big issue, just something I was wondering about. The other stuff I'm more interested in. Nice to know about the speed adjustment. The pbp is really nice, almost makes you feel like you're there.

PBP speed is adjustable in the new version.

So far, all the logos & photos for a universe go in the same folder:

(OOTP DIRECTORY)\data\saved_games\your league.lg\news\html\images

Not sure about ballparks images yet, though.

I am glad that play by play is adjustable. I like to read it quickly.

I'm 99% sure PBP speed was adjustable in V5.

I'm not so concerned about v5 speed since I'm just fooling around with it until 2006 comes out. I just read the new blog and it looks like the pbp will be even better than I would have imagined. Still wondering if anyone knows the answer to these two questions:

If I wanted to make a league with different teams from different years using Lahman (like an all-star league), will that be possible?

Will the game come with park stats for current and historical stadiums? Then all that needs to be done is add the picture?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure that you should be able to import the individual teams that you want. ex. you want the 1927 yankees, the 1955 dodgers, and the 1969 mets all in the same league, you would be able to import them individually from the database.

I know you could do this in previous versions, just assuming it's in the new one.

As for the stadiums question, I doubt it comes with info for real stadiums. Won't be too hard to find in a mod though.
