A fun thread from a few years ago with a lot of synonyms for "league."

If we are talking about names that have been used before, I am partial to the "Iron & Oil Association". It was a minor league that lasted all of one season (1884) based in Ohio and PA. Awesome name for an otherwise forgotten league.

For sub leagues, I generally use Federal (mentioned) and Patriot.

My top league's name is the Brewer Patriot League. Got this from the first fantasy league I started with my old college friends. We liked Sam Adams in case you couldn't tell.

Add the name of any state or states to League (or Association...)...

Dakota Association

Take the first letter of neighboring states:

CONK League (Colorado-Oklahoma-Nebraska-Kansas League)
WIN League (Wisconsin-Iowa-Nebraska)

Take a regional word and add "states" to it:

Wish I would have known about this 2 years ago. I'm running a league called The OhioPenn League that is in year 1957 (1901 start) with random historical rookies and foreign FA's. Benn playing it from ootp16 thru ootp18 now. I guess i could change the league name but TXRanger did make me a league logo. Fun league.
