hahahaha WAY too funny. Guess you never saw a LATE throw after it was held too long. Anything is better than having somebody doing the "Pesky Play" looking like a dope. I also like the guy who only plays 2D mode. He never even saw what we're talking about. What does that tell you? So, you think I'm wrong and I know you're wrong so leave it at that. My way looks way better, though.

I think you're misunderstanding what's actually happening when the animation shows the fielder holding the ball while the runner comes around to score. Before the animation begins, the result of the play is determined. The result is that the runner scores so easily that a throw is not made. But the current animations in the game are poorly timed, which is why it looks like Johnny Pesky's play. But it's actually not a mistake by the fielder. It's just a poorly designed and timed animation, which is why Matt said it's on his list of things to fix. That's why a throw is not realistic. It's fine if you disagree on what's "better," but there can be no disagreement on what best represents the play the game engine produces.
