This is a display issue in the 3d representation of the game and not the game awarding a double to a "bad" play. I agree it is irritating to see, and would love to see it fixed, but it has no statistical effect in the game. If you were playing text only you wouldn't know it exists.

Good post. It wasn't my intention to suggest OOTP was making an error in the actual result, just that it is "annoying" and "irritating" as you view the 3D play. It's been an issue for awhile in that regard, so was just surprised it hadn't been corrected by now.
