Tomorrow Is The Day.........

That the Miami Marlins introduce their new hideous logo and uniforms, once again becoming the laughingstock of baseball. Day Glo orange....really? Just hideous. Worse in fact than that ridiculous teal color scheme from 1994.

I'm actually a fan of garish colors and uniforms. And so are many sports fans. Just check out the merchandising sales for the University of Oregon football program.

I'm more uncomfortable with the Marlins' change in team name, although it has historical roots.

Are you trying to tell me that I looked bad in my teal trim back in the 90s?

I like the new Marlins uni's to a degree..Every team has to have their bad uniform era. the 1970's White Sox, the Cubs 1871-2020, the Astros of the mid 80's...well everyone from about 1970-1987...Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers are the only 3 teams that I can think of that have escaped bad uniforms in the modern era.

Could you link us to those new uniforms?..........since they're to be officially announced tomorrow.

I've seen a leaked hat, but no uniforms have been leaked to my knowledge.

Tigers. The Marlins have been bad forever though. In 1994 they took the teal of the Dolphins, and now in 2012 they're taking the orange of the Dolphins. Be original at least.

College Football and Major League baseball don't quite have the same history. Other than a short period in the 1970's baseball uniforms have been pretty conservative over the last 120 years. The Marlins continually buck this trend however with disastrous results. The last poll I saw had 79% of voters calling the uniforms hideous. Isn't the idea to "make" money off of merchandising?

I believe we have a winner. or a loser. Or, erm, an offence to my eyes at least.

I've always liked the teal Marlins uniforms

A new identity: Miami Marlins get a fresh start - Greg Cote - MiamiHerald.com

The alt black looks nice and i do like the alt orange..the home white has too much white on it.
