Really basic question

OK, I give up. How do I install downloaded mods? I'm sure there's a link to this somewhere but I've been unable to find it. Thanks!

Well there are a few ways depending on which mods you want to install.
These instructions are for PC, MAC is different folders.

For Ballparks: unzip into the ballparks folder and make sure they are named to what the game calls them (if using real parks). But to load them Go into Commish mode. Go to Team Options & Ballpark Info - Edit ballpark - Pictures & Coordinates and navigate your way to the ballparks folder and which park you want. (If the stadiums are fictional I suggest downloading Gambo's 2011 Seating Chart on Padresfan and putting in the dimensions and factors.)

For Facegen: Put them in the fg folder (make sure they are not in individual folders) Go to OOTP Preferences and make sure you have the game set up to use Facegen vs photos, vise versa for photos vs facegen) i forgot how to load all facegens but when a player appears it should switch from photo to facegen

For Photos: unzip into the photos folder and follow steps above more or less

For Logos/Uniforms/Caps unzip into each folder, logos, jerseys ballcaps. To load go to Team Options & Ballpark - Edit Team Logos - navigate your way into ech folder and load (if they dont appear in game, make sure they are a .png at 512 x 512 ie if you downloaded an image directly from this forum, sometimes they are too large and get changed over.)

What did I forget?

I also recommend All in one mod from add ons central download it then install it. It will place facegen, caps, logos & jerseys in teh proper folder and when you start a new MAL or MLB league they will be loaded properly.

Note: I have 5 active leagues and 4 dead leagues I create folders with subfolders by team on my desktop for all the above minus all in one mod/facegen.

So which 1 did you want to install?

Thanks for your help! I want to install the Mac all-in-one. I clicked "re-install" but it didn't seem to do anything.

Any help here.

I am trying to download Cubbie's roster file and have those downloaded and went to unzip the file into OOTP.

However whenever I try and unzip the file that has saved games in it it just brings up an error and I can't unzip the files into an OOTP folder.

I am on Windows 7 and an HP, any help would be much appreciated.

just throwing out some ideas.
which unzip program do you use? winzip is the best especially if 1person has a mac and 1 has pc (dont know what cubby has) try unzipping into the folder that you downloaded it to then cut & paste if it pops up an error message saying that "program cannot be moved because it is being used by another program or person" unzip again reboot then cut & paste.

Where is the file supposed to go? Am I Supposed to unzip the file into the main OOTP folder? Or... does it go into data? Or with all of the other zipped folders in the default_data folder?

I'm confused and frustrated. Is this a "saved game" rather than a roster? How do I access the roster once I've placed it in the correct folder? How do I start a new game with the Cubbyfan roster?

If anyone can explain this in really simple terms for a somewhat slow person like me, I'd be very appreciative.
