Save Shifts for Batters
It gets quite tedious having to set the shift for a batter each time that they come up to bat in a game. You should have the ability to enable shift saving which would automatically set the shift that was used earlier on in the game for that batter.

This is a great suggestion -- it would greatly improve game play.

This one is worth keeping near the top. I usually sim and when I tried managing, I was surprised at how little the AI shifts even outfielders, much less infielders, when a pull hitter is up. In the games I simmed, I never once saw the opposing infielders move into double play depth either.
I'd like to set this in the strategy settings for sims, too. Set shifts for pull hitters. Play a shallow outfield if the batter has more than x at bats and a slugging percentage below y. Go to DP depth with less than 2 out and a runner on 1st. Sim strategy settings are really vague. |
