What is your exact problem with the game? Random crashing. Sometimes it'll crash when I click on a button, other times it'll be when I'm trying to sim. Still other times it'll just crash when I'm not doing anything.
You have Win2000 Pro. What Service Pack do you have loaded? Service Pack 3
You will need to load the most recent updates to your video card and audio card. Have you done this already? Video card yes, audio card no.

Win 2k SP3

Does everyone have GeForce's rosters? Could this be the issue?
Try it using a created league.

Your's sounds like it is a "sound" issue, are they enabled in game?

And about all those sounds issues... what's the point of having sounds if it causes the game to crash?

ZXLT,

Well, I don't know what to tell you. I wish I were an expert on this sort of thing, but I'm not. I just know that I updated everything I could think of (Including my motherboard's INF) and nothing worked until I went to SP3.

I'm sorry I couldn't help. Good luck...

Yet another case of Creative dragging their feet on legacy hardware drivers (thus making more people buy their latest soundcard.)

Hope that clears up the problem.
Kezzek mentioned this which may be some of the cause of this issue.

Crashes

Ok, I'm getting crashes too and I'm XP user, seems to be when I pick on one of the "features" in the columns - S Kuffrey 3B injured - stop simming - then pick on the player from the transaction boxes to place him on IR and presto! - crash to desktop.
Also happened tonite when I loaded game, I hit continue game and got Microsoft Error window - must close program. and I did. Funny but I dont think I had ANY crashes on Sony Laptop yet...

PC
2.4Ghz P4 / 128mb TI200 GeForce2 / DX 9.0 / XP Home/ 768 MB of PC2100 RAM / 40 GB HD / On-board sound & LAN /
Laptop
1.6Ghz P4-M / 32mb ATI Radeon ?? / DX 9.0 / XP Home / 512 MB PC2100 RAM / 40GB HD /

same here - crashes for me whenever i try and play a game. as soon as i click the swing away button, boof. it's back to the desktop. tried the obvious things like disabling sound and direct 3d. i have windows XP with directx9, 512MB RAM, GeForce3 Card, SBLive soundcard, 11GB HD space free.

DOes it also crash when you click on manager mode? And if you try one game that doesn't include you team, does it work? If so, I sent Scott the league file, he said he'd look at it. I created another league and it works fine. (Well, maybe not FINE, but it does work )

If you had simmed just one game that didn't involved your team it would've worked.

will use that info to get a league started!

what i just did was create another league. started playing my own game, then quit out. turned the sound back on from the config, went back into the league, tried playing the game and the crash returns. so it's obviously related to that side of things.
